Hair Restoration

Preparing for your hair restoration treatment is simple. Avoid alcohol and smoking for 48 hours before your appointment. Pause minoxidil, topical hair treatments, and styling products for 3–5 days beforehand. For one week before treatment, avoid chemical dyes, perms, harsh scalp treatments, and excessive sun exposure. Stay well hydrated and arrive with clean, dry hair with no styling products. Do not shampoo your hair on the day of your appointment.

Our hair restoration treatment is completely needle-free and non-surgical. At your appointment, we’ll prepare your scalp and apply the exosome-based serum directly to the treatment area. We then use ultrasound technology to help deliver the serum across the scalp.

The treatment takes approximately 30–45 minutes, depending on the area being treated, and no numbing is needed. Most clients find the experience comfortable and relaxing.

There is no recovery time, so you can return to your normal activities immediately after your appointment. We simply ask that you avoid washing your hair for 24 hours after treatment.

There is no downtime after your Spa Lumos hair restoration treatment, so you can return to your normal daily activities right away.

For the first 24 hours, do not wash your hair so the exosome-based serum can remain on the scalp. We also recommend avoiding swimming and excessive sweating during this initial period.

For the first week, be gentle with your scalp. Avoid harsh chemical treatments, dyes, or perms, and protect your scalp from excessive sun exposure. Follow any at-home hair care recommendations we provide as part of your personalized treatment plan.

Hair growth takes time. Many clients begin noticing visible changes in fullness and density within about 2–3 months after starting their treatment series. Results can continue to develop over the following months as the natural hair growth cycle progresses.

At Spa Lumos, most hair restoration treatment plans include four sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. The timing and amount of improvement vary from person to person, so we’ll monitor your progress throughout your treatment series and make recommendations based on your individual response.

Because Spa Lumos uses a needle-free ultrasound approach, the treatment does not involve the bleeding, bruising, or recovery associated with microneedling. Most clients can return to their normal activities immediately after treatment.

Temporary scalp redness, sensitivity, or irritation may occur, although many clients experience little to no discomfort. Some clients may also notice temporary increased shedding during the treatment process as the hair cycle changes. This does not happen to everyone, and the amount and timing can vary.

We ask that you avoid washing your hair for 24 hours and follow the aftercare instructions provided by your Spa Lumos provider.
